HUMMER vehicles are built by AM General Corporation and sold through General Motes here in the United States. HUMMER built its reputation of go anywhere style through providing some of the most aggressive and functional utility vehicles to armed forces and special operation units. The first two Hummer models in the H1 and H2 are large and heavy vehicles that use large engines and complex drivelines to move the vehicle along. The third model available today, the HUMMER H3 is a smaller and more economical version of the H2 -- creating a more passenger-friendly SUV for use on city streets.
